László Solyom recently at various fora outlined his views on the cultural or in case territorial autonomy within the European Union of national minorities. He spoke about it at the Brno meeting of Central-European Heads of State, and also earlier during his visit in Transylvania.
Slota’s declaration was not commented neither by the two other governing parties nor by the oppositon in Slovakia.
Ferenc Wéber, Press Chief of the Hungarian Head of State told the Independent News Agency on Thursday that the Office of the President of the Republic has no comment on the statement of Slota.
